Barbara Buntrock is organizing now for the third time the festival 3B in Wuppertal, this year not only as Artistic Director but also as Project Manager.
The programme is offering a big variety of classical, contemporary and jazz music. The festival is getting support through Crowdfunding, here you can click to donate.
Barbara Buntrock is in the final stretch of preparing the Festival 3B in Wuppertal at the moment. 12 rising stars of chamber music were invited and will present the three big "B's" the classical music in fasciniating contexts. Highlights are the debut of the Mariani Piano Quartet at Deutschlandradio Kultur at the Berlin Philharmonie as well as performances at the Alte Oper Frankfurt and the Beethoven House Bonn.

Besides various concerts with Mariani Klavierquartett (a.o. at Schleswig Holstein Musikfestival) she will as well perform at Gewandhaus Leipzig with Leipziger Streichquartett.

On 2 June 2012, Barbara Buntrock won the 2nd Prize at the Tokyo International Viola Competition. This competition is the only international competition in Asia exclusively for the viola. It is held every three years as part of the Viola Space, a festival for viola founded in 1992 though the initiative of internationally distinguished violist Nobuko Imai.
